Starting from the first weekend of Advent, Christmas trees will be lit, the candle will be lit and carols will be played in most towns and villages of the Bohemian Central Highlands.
There are lots of wonderful events to choose from every Advent weekend. There are Christmas markets, fairs, workshops, theatre performances and animated castle interiors.
- The regional town of Ústí nad Labem will offer ÚSTECKY CHRISTMAS and a programme until 23.12.
- The Royal City has prepared the LITOMĚŘICE CHRISTMAS MARKETS daily from 9th December to 23rd December.
- The picturesque Roudnice nad Labem has prepared ROUDNICKÝ ADVENT with theatres, performances, markets and fairs also until 23.12.
Our tips
- Advent - you can go to the tree lighting in most towns or to the open Lavender Garden Anette.
- Advent - St Nicholas' Day - we invite you to the revived interiors of the Libochovice Castle, to the Advent Fair at the Litoměřice Castle, to Levín, again to the Lavender Garden or to an Advent run along the Elbe Trail.
- Advent - the traditional Christmas weekend will take place in the Zubrnice Open Air Museum, the Lobkowicz Castle will offer a Christmas tour with an elf for children and the traditional Levín pottery fair will take place on Saturday.
- Advent - the Ploskovice Chateau will come alive with Christmas spirit and the traditional spectacular Gathering of Angels and Úštěk Advent will take place in the historic town of Úštěk. On Sunday, you can go to a more intimate event in Moravany, to the environment of the Soap Factory and Pancake Factory Bohemikus for a small craft fair.
