Bicycle trip to Vít's lookout tower and Bukovka

A special bus line for cyclists - Cyclobus and pedestrians to the Bohemian Central Highlands runs on Saturdays and Sundays from 1 May 2021 to 5 September 2021. Take advantage of this connection and get to know the higher places of the Bohemian Central Highlands by bike. Capacity is limited, so you can reserve your seat. Get on the cyclobus in Roudnice nad Labem or Litoměřice. The cyclobus will take you to the village of Mukařov near Lovečkovice. From there, head to the nearby Vít'ov Lookout Tower, which offers a beautiful view of Ještěd. The lookout tower is open from April to October from Friday to Sunday, always from 9 am to 5 pm. After you have enjoyed the view, continue on to the Buková hora transmitter. You can try the path through the pastures or go around by road via Verneřice and Příbram. The Buková hora transmitter is the highest concrete structure in the Czech Republic and is more than 220 metres high. Unfortunately, it does not serve as a tower. But visit the nearby Humboldt Lookout. It will offer you a nice view of the Elbe River valley or towards Milešovka. From Bukovka, take a nice asphalt road through the forest to the Elbe. First, follow the red hiking trail. It turns left after about 2 km. But you stick to the asphalt road and continue straight on to Rytířov and then to Těchlovice.

In Těchlovice you will join the Elbe Trail, which you can follow upstream to Malé Březno and then via Ústí nad Labem to Litoměřice or Roudnice.
