Bořeň

The Bořeň Massif geologically belongs to the NW edge of the Central Bohemian Uplands.

An educational trail leads through the National nature reserve. We can see a mixed coniferous natural rubble forest with lindens, maples, ashes and pines, rocky steppes, rocky outcrops and natural rubble fields. We can come across plants such as the golden alyssum or the blue alpine daisy. Animals that occur here are: the Eurasian eagle-owl, the western jackdaw, the golden oriole, the European green toad, the smooth snake, the scarce and the Old World swallowtail and the ladybird spider. Bořeň is also a well-known climbing destination and offers lovely views of the surroundings from the top.
