Excursion with Jiří Svoboda to Lukov and Štěpánovská hora

The third in a series of autumn expeditions organized by the Agency for Nature and Landscape Protection of the Czech Republic, Litoměřice.

Jiří Svoboda is not only a photographer and expert of the Bohemian Central Highlands, but also a mineral collector. Therefore, it is not surprising that the October excursion to the Bohemian Central Highlands will be dedicated to them and to the discovery of beautiful black pyroxene crystals in the vicinity of Lukov.

The route will also take visitors through the nature of Štěpánovská hora, where not only the natural monument of the same name protecting the important summit steppe is located, but also a pair of massive ramparts and ditches of the ancient hillfort. Moreover, few hills in the Bohemian Central Highlands offer such spectacular views.

The excursion is part of the accompanying programme to the exhibition "The Most Beautiful Mountains with Naturalist Jan Šimr".
