Hláska Watchtower

The Hláska Watchtower is the only preserved remnant of the fortifications of the oldest part of the town of Roudnice nad Labem.

Although it survived the medieval wars as an observation and announcement tower, it was seriously damaged in the fire of the town in 1665. After reconstruction in the 18th century, it served as a water tank for the fountain in Hus Square. Nowadays you can climb up to the gallery of the tower. An unforgettable experience will be the view of the dominant feature of the town - Lobkowicz Castle and the panorama of the Bohemian Central Highlands. You can visit other sights of Roudnice along a circular walking route with a number of stops at selected monuments. The starting point is the signpost at the Romanesque castle.
