Podřípské Museum - Roudnice nad Labem

Podřípské museum was founded in the year 1900. It closed down between the late 50s and the early 60s of the 20th century, but it was restored in 2004.

Today, the permanent exhibition presents an overall picture of prehistoric, medieval and modern history and the settlement of the town of Roudnice nad Labem and the Roudnický region. The exposition also includes a collection of minerals from both Bohemia and Moravia and a small picture gallery that documents the geological evolution of the Říp Mountain from its origin to the present times. A model, made from the famous building kit Merkur, named „Mechanical Říp“ is another very interesting part of the exposition.
