If you want to challenge your body a little and climb from the river through all three viewpoints - Josefínka – Milenci (Lovers) – Skály (Rocks) - then a hike of less than 6 km awaits you (it is 11 km as a roundtrip). You will follow the blue tourist rout from Vaňov - public transport Kotva.
Josefínka
Is a virgin untouched rock, 367 m high steep rock outcrop full of myths. One of the legends speaks of a rock with the image of a sitting woman in a Gothic hat, Josefínka, who looks out over the river and her stone tears flow into the valley. In the river, she lost a mate in a rugged riverbed. It used to be a bad place for ships. It was so for a long time, until the permanent rising of water level of Elbe finally buried it after the completion of the locks.
Lovers
Two rock giants who managed to resist all the natural forces, because they are made of particularly solid rock, similar to basalt, of a rare monchiquite.
“Skály” (Rocks) and “Lužická spojka”
The last lookout point, which at the same time is the entrance to the “Lužická spojka” ferrata, which is marked with difficulty C with a total length of 60 m. It is a more strength-requiring ferrata
You can return along the yellow tourist line through Stebno, the Vrkoč viewpoint and the Vaňovský waterfall back to public transport. In total, this is a route of 10 - 11 km.
