Second meeting of the information centres from the Bohemian Central Highlands on the Florentina Boat

The Destination Agency České středohoří organised the second meeting for the staff of information and tourist centres, this time in Litoměřice.

Second meeting of information centres from the České středohoří region

On Thursday, 7 April, the second joint meeting of the Tourist Information Centres from the entire České středohoří region took place, organized by the Destination Agency České středohoří o.p.s. The venue of the meeting was the hotel and restaurant ship Florentina Boat, which is moored in Litoměřice from the beginning of March until autumn.

The topic of the meeting was the presentation of the plans of the agency and individual information centres for the 2022 tourist season and the direction for the next years.

Mr. Michal Horáček from the Destination Agency České středohoří took the first floor and introduced the individual campaigns and detailed the current developments on the Elbe Trail. "In addition to the Elbe Trail, the Destination Agency also manages the Ploučnice Trail. We have taken over this route from the Destination Agency Bohemian Switzerland, which focuses mainly on the National Park and tourism." Horáček added. The regional brand České středohoří, the campaign "Baroque Garden of Bohemia" and this summer's Circuit of the Church Monument were presented by his colleague Radana Kubíčková. Jan Piegl spoke about the Milešovka cottage, the opening of the first stellplatz in the destination and the planned activities related to long-distance trails and shelters.

Then the representatives of the towns and infocentres took the floor. They presented their plans, objectives, offer and services. The Destination Agency invited to the meeting also those centres that do not fall directly into their destination, but "operate" in the territory of the Bohemian Central Highlands and are interested in cooperation. In total, 18 towns were invited, including the Ústí Region - Děčín, Ústí nad Labem, Litoměřice, Terezín, Lovosice, Libochovice, Louny, Třebenice, Bílina, Teplice, Most, Roudnice nad Labem, Štětí, Mělník, Úštěk, Zubrnice and Lovečkovice. All invited Information and Tourist Centres appreciated the meeting very much and those who could not come primarily due to illness or insufficient capacity regretted their absence.

Most cities are preparing products with discounted prices for tourists - visitor vouchers, a combination of admission to monuments, galleries and museums combined with a range of services, discounted tourist circuits and more.

The plans were also presented by a representative of the Association of Tourist and Information Centres (A.T.I.C) - Mrs. Zdeňka Václavková and at the same time she offered the possibility of seminars for representatives of information centres and destination agencies.

Last to speak was the captain of the Florentina Boat. The boat is the largest floating hotel boat in the Czech Republic and with its 92 berths offers very comfortable accommodation. Services include a restaurant with a dance floor and a large sun terrace. "This year the ship also has plans for several days of cruises, music and theatre events, children's events and dance evenings." informed the ship's captain. In Litoměřice, the ship thus covers the insufficient supply of accommodation capacities in the main tourist season. Moreover, it can be used for private and corporate events.

At the end of the programme, there was a discussion, exchange of contacts and a boat trip on the Elbe River from Litoměřice to the nearby Radobýl and back.
