Services in the Bohemian Central Highlands are slowly opening to the public

Selected Information Centres, cafés or refreshment centres are again serving tourists and visitors.

During this week, a number of Information and Tourist Centres in the Bohemian Central Highlands have been opened, and others will open to the public in the following days.

Information centres in operation

  • Štětí
  • Roudnice nad Labem
  • Ústí nad Labem - Zanádražní (Cycling centre)
  • Děčín (library)

Information centres open from 4 May

  • Lovosice
  • Litoměřice (closed Friday 8 May only)
  • Úštěk

Information centres open from 11 May

  • Terezín - Retranchement V

15 May

  • Ústí nad Labem - Peace Square

Most kiosks, patisseries and cafés offer a dispensing window where you can get snacks, just as restaurants offer lunch menus in portable boxes.

From 1 May, both the Ústí nad Labem and Děčín zoos will open their gates to families with children. All outdoor enclosures are open and tickets can be bought online.

Cyclists who take the Elbe Trail can use a number of refreshments on the way from Roudnice nad Labem to Děčín:

  • in bistro U Sumce, in Lounky U Trumpetky, in Nučničky U přívozu
  • in Litoměřice in Kava s párou, in Velké and Malé Žernosky in buffets by the ferry
  • in Tivoli in Velké Březno

The ferries that have already opened or are opening as of May 1 will transport you and your bike:

  • Nučnice - Nučničky ( Friday - Sunday - 10:00 - 19:00 - 1.5. until 12 o'clock)
  • Lovosice - Píšt'any (daily 8:00 - 20:00)
  • Svádov - Neštěmice (daily 9:00 - 18:00)
  • Velké - Malé Žernoseky (Thursday - Sunday - 9:00 - 19:00)

As of Friday 1 May, selected bus lines of the Transport of the Ústí nad Labem Region will start offering bicycle transport options. Thanks to this, you can travel to the hills of the Bohemian Central Highlands, to Děčínský Sněžník or to the Ore Mountains. From 16 May, tourist lines will also be launched.

Hikers can go not only to a number of popular nature trails, but also to some of the peaks. On the highest Milešovec there is currently a self-service bar offering alcoholic and non-alcoholic beer or juices! There will be a spending window on Říp this weekend.
