During March 2023, two trade fairs were held at the Letňany Exhibition Centre in Prague. The first was Holiday World and For Caravan. It was held from 17 to 19 March and focused on tourism, caravans and also boats. Visitors to the Holiday World fair were interested in the nature and peaks of the Bohemian Central Highlands or in the boat tourist lines and sights in the destination. The Holiday World fair also included the launch of the Labská cesta 2023 cycling guide.
The second fair, called For Bikes, took place a week later and, as the name suggests, was focused on bikes and cycling. At this fair, the Elbe Trail, which is one of the most popular and most visited cycle paths in the Czech Republic, attracted the most interest. Visitors also asked about cycling routes in the hills of the Bohemian Central Highlands, the possibility of using cycle buses or the start of the ferry season on the Elbe.
"Both fairs saw a significant increase in visitors compared to 2022. We hope that the same trend will be observed in the number of visitors to the destination and the destinations and services of interest," said Luděk Jirman, director of the Destination Agency České středohoří.
