The schedule of exhibitions and events at the gallery will soon include a break during which the exhibition spaces will be closed to the public.
The restrictions are planned after the end of the current exhibitions "Teacher and Pupil" and "Anna Ročňová - Jan Boháč / The Trap", which will last until Sunday, 12 February. This will be followed by modifications to the technical equipment of the exhibition hall, which should provide better conditions for the installation of exhibitions, for security and for the lighting of the space.
The gallery will reopen in mid-April. The exhibition "Acquisition 2000 The Value of Friendship" will present a selection of art objects from the collections acquired after 2000. The work of young artist Nikol Kopp Lourková will be presented in the gallery foyer.
Before the exhibition space reopens after the necessary repairs, an exhibition by comics artist Mark Rubec will be on view on the gallery website. In addition to this, the gallery website also features a database of micro-documentaries and audio commentaries of artworks from the gallery's collections, which can be easily played and viewed on mobile devices.
