The pedestrian cyclobus to the Bohemian Central Highlands has started its 11th season!

The popular tourist bus line for cyclists in the Bohemian Central Highlands starts its operation on the first Saturday in May 2021.

The connection is intended primarily for cyclists, but tourists without bicycles can also use it. The capacity is 19 bikes and you can book your place at reservation.ceskestredohori.info.

Route

The cyclobus departs from Roudnice nad Labem, Litoměřice and Lovosice every Saturday and Sunday from 1 May to 5 September. The cyclobus runs on two routes and the final destinations are Mukařov near Lovečkovice and Bílý Újezd near Velemín.

TIPS FOR CYCLING TRIPS WITH CYCLOBUS

A - Mukařov route

To Vít's lookout tower and Beech Mountain

Departure from Roudnice nad Labem - 8:00/10:00 or Litoměřice - 8:30/10:30 direction Mukařov. From there, head for the view of the Vítova lookout tower and then follow the unmarked route along the hill to Bukova hora. From there you will have a beautiful and long descent down the red trail to Těchlovice and return comfortably along the Elbe Trail (to Litoměřice - 50 km).

The trip is also suitable for pedestrians ????. Combine with green buses.

To Ploskovice to the castle

From Mukařov you can go in two directions to Třebušín - via Levínské Petrovice, Lovečkovice and Horní Týnec or via Náčkovice, Dolní Šebířov, Haslice and Řepčice. In Třebušín you will join the 3066 cycle route, which will take you to Ploskovice (15 - 18 km). It is another 6 km to Litoměřice and 20 km to Roudnice nad Labem along the Elbe Trail.

B - Velemín route

From this side, trips are ideal in combination with ferries!

To Trebenice for garnets and chocolate or to Roudnice nad Labem

From Velemín, head in the direction of Chotiměř. Follow the green tourist sign. At the Černodolský mill you will join the marked cycle route No. 25, which will lead you through Oparno, Boreč, to the crossroads below Košt'álov and then to Sutomi, through Vlastislav, Teplá to Třebenice. On the way you can stop and visit the ruins of Košt'álov Castle or Skalka Castle. It is about 30 km to Lovosice.

From Lovosice you can continue via Lukavec and Nové Kopisty to Terezín, where you will join the left bank of the Elbe Trail, which will lead you to Roudnice. In Nučničky you can take the ferry back to the right bank of the Elbe Trail - 60 km.

For views of the Porta Bohemica

Departure from Roudnice nad Labem - 12:00, from Litoměřice - 12:30 or from Lovosice - 12:40 towards Velemín, Bílý Újezd. From there, go through the village of Kletečná to Dubice to the viewpoint from the church of St. Barbara. In Dubice, join the cycle route 3092. which will lead you to the crossroads at the Skalka viewpoint. From there, continue to the 3090 trail junction, which will lead you to Dolní Zálezel. Here, use the ferry to Církvice in the summer months and follow the Elbe Trail home (25-40 km in total, depending on where you are returning to).

If you want to extend your trip, you can drive to the Větruše castle, go down to the river and cross the bridge to return along the Elbe Trail (48 km to Litoměřice, 66 km to Roudnice nad Labem).

TOURISTS

On the other hand, tourists can go from Velemín towards Hora Milešovka and back and return from Chotiměř by train or continue straight through Chotiměř to the Oparenský valley to Malé Žernosky.
