The ruins of the Kamýk Castle

The castle founded before the year 1319 thanks to the initiative of King John of Luxemburg was used to control the Elbe Valley, to which it still offers an excellent view.

It was rebuilt in Reinissance style in the 16th century. During the Thirty Years' War it was ravaged by the Saxon army. A torso of a residential tower, which was surrounded by numerous buildings and walls, has been preserved on a high monadnock to this day.
