TIP for the first long weekend in May - Roudnice nad Labem!

A view from Kratochvíl's lookout tower, an exhibition in the open Information Centre or a hike up Mount Říp? There is something for everyone in Roudnice.

Roudnice nad Labem - a historic town on the Elbe River, conveniently accessible by car, bus and train, offers you a number of pleasant ways to spend your free time on the first and extended weekend in May.

Your first steps should be directed to the Podřipsko Information and Transport Centre. It is open daily from 9:00 to 17:00. In addition to using the wide range of services of the information centre , you can see an exhibition of works by students of the Faculty of Architecture who designed the innovative design of the house in Josef Hora Park.

On the first weekend in May, the Tower of Hláska offers a sale of souvenirs and other printed materials from 10:00 to 16:00. The freely accessible Kratochvíl's lookout tower will once again provide you with a beautiful view not only of Roudnice nad Labem, but also of the panorama of the Bohemian Central Highlands.
The popular Wine Pavilion of the Lobkowicz Chateau Winery (on the grassy area in front of the castle) also starts its seasonal sale on Friday. A number of bistros and local patisseries also offer outlets. Be sure not to miss the unique pro-Republican dessert from Dortletka, the eponymous patisserie.

Hikers who decide to go to the top of Říp mountain - it is 6 km from the centre of Roudnice - can also have a refreshment here on the weekend (Saturday and Sunday). Chata Říp offers a ticket window.
