The coming weekend will be ideal for visiting the castles of the Bohemian Central Highlands, which have opened their tour circuits!
Libochovice Chateau - offers a basic sightseeing tour where individual chambers evoke different historical periods. The tour of Libochovice Castle takes you on a walk through several centuries. Usually the tour comes out at every full hour. Open 9:00 - 16:00.
Ploskovice Chateau - has a tour route for tourists of 11 rooms in the style of the 2nd half of the 19th century from the time of the Austrian Emperor and the last Czech crowned king Ferdinand V. Habsburg. The tour takes about 50 minutes. It is also possible to visit the castle grottoes - man-made water caves in the basement of the castle from the early 18th century. Open 9:00 - 16:00.
Velké Březno Chateau - the smallest and the youngest among the Central Highland chateaus offers a tour: the country mansion of the last Chotks, during which you will visit the entire chateau including the children's rooms in the attic. The tour lasts 60 minutes. The chateau also offers a guided tour of the chateau park or the exhibition hall with an exhibition of paintings by the painter Ernst Gustav Doerell the lookout tower. Tours every full hour. Open 10:00 - 17:00.
Lobkowicz Chateau and Romanesque Castle Roudnice nad Labem - a tour of the chateau complex built on the foundations of a Romanesque castle with wine tasting! Tours every hour from 10:00 to 16:00.
Střekov Castle is now completely open - its exteriors, interiors and the watchtower. The castle is one of the best preserved castle ruins. In the Knights' Hall, the founding charter is on display, and a new installation of an exhibition on the changes of Střekov Castle during the 19th century has been prepared. The Wágnerka restaurant is open to visitors.
Hazmburk Castle offers one basic tour without a guide, during which you can see the entire castle grounds, including the White Lookout Tower.
