A meeting of representatives of the Ústí nad Labem Region and German partners took place at the regional office to discuss the preparation of the strategy and planning of further development of these areas. Regional Councillor for Finance Ing. Jan Růžička welcomed Stefan Beckmann and Jürgen Dieckert from Germany, who have been working intensively on the topic of stellplatz and caravans for a long time. The meeting was attended by Jan Černohorský from FINASO, which provides comprehensive services in the field of caravanning and is in close communication with the German partners. It is the inclusion of stellplatz sites in the territory of the region in German caravanning portals and the use of standardised technologies that will increase the interest of visitors from Western Europe in our destinations.
During the meeting, the possibilities of supporting investors were specifically discussed and locations suitable for building additional parking areas for caravans were identified, e.g. Lake Milada. "We want to continue to support the construction of professional stellplatz, smaller parking areas and the overall development of this part of tourism from the regional budget through subsidy calls. We see this infrastructure as an important part of the development of tourism in our region," said county councillor Jan Růžička.
The foreign visit to the Ústí nad Labem Region also visited two destinations and saw the newly built stellplatz. In the Erzgebirge destination, the delegation visited the stellplatz at Lake Most. In the Bohemian Central Highlands, the partners visited the stellplatz under Milešovka in Velemín.
During the discussion, the German partners shared valuable experience on how to set up the right combination of services and the location of stellplatz in the territory. Jürgen Dieckert, the operator of the www.top-platz.de portal and the TopPlatz app, promised to include the selected locations in the destinations of the Ústí nad Labem Region and the Erzgebirge. "Our destination agencies will supplement the information on tourist ataracts with services targeting the western federal states, especially Bavaria, where there is a significant interest in new quality European destinations," added the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Jiří Řehák after Thursday's meeting of agency directors in Žatec.
