Chapel of St. Rosalie
In 1718, a chapel was built in the open space behind the Jewish quarter on the way to Hrobka, Židovice and Doksany. It was supposed to be a reminder of the plague in Roudnice from 1713.
At that time, 994 of the original 1672 inhabitants (excluding settlers of Jewish origin) remained. As for citizens of Jewish origin, it can be assumed that there were about 250 of them in Roudnice (according to the number of 51 houses they owned).
The project of the chapel was ordered by the burghers of Roudnice from the roayl architect Antonín Ritz. The building itself was realized in a much simpler form than the architect's original plans. The chapel was consecrated in 1926.
