Follow the monuments of Roundice nad Labem
You can follow the monuments of Roudnice along a special roundtrip with a number of stops at selected monuments. The starting point is a signpost at the Roudnice castle.

Bell tower
The new bell tower, built in 1715 from the joint funds of the Lobkowicz family and the town of Roudnice, was built in a way that ensured considerable stability of the entire Structure.
The bells are hung on a beam structure, standing alone on pillars inside the tower shell. Thus the bells vibrations do not transmit to the walls of the building. That is to prevent damage of the outer wall.
The bells from 1541, 1586 and 1619 from the workshop of the Roudnice bell-riders of the Frič family come from the original bell tower, which burned down in 1676. During first world war an important art historian dr. Max Dvořák helped to save the bells from being turned into cannons.
